| We started out our privately guided tour (read: just us, no old people walking slow) in Mdina, their former capital. |
The architecture is a blend of a lot of cultures, mainly Arabic and Italian. |

| We stopped off at a cafe for some of the best chocolate cake in the world. That's our tour guide, Trudy, on the left. |
After Mdina we checked in to our hotel. Here is the view from our balcony. |

| The next day I slept in while the boys went to Valletta for another guided tour and to film shots for the TV show. I walked to a nearby bay and took about a million pictures of the colorful boats, called "luzzi". |
That night we went to different clubs, me to hang out, them to interview people for the TV show. |

The next day we went to the north of the island, stopping in many picturesque bays and villages along the way. |
| This is "Popeye Village", so named because it was built as a movie set for the Popeye movie with Robin Williams. |
Today the village is used as a retreat for work events and also as a kid-friendly attraction. |
| Next we had a 3-hour lunch by the sea. |
Then we headed to the northern end of the island where you can see the two other Maltese Islands - Comino and Gozo. |
| Philippe got a little creative (using his patented sunglasses-in-front-of-the-camera move) in taking pictures of the guys filming. |
Although it's blurry, it's still worth showing the 1940's buses that are still in use on the island. |

This ancient fort is now a TGI Fridays. Gotta love it. |
