| The next day we did a little chateau-seeing. This is the chateau in Saumur, the town our hotel was in. |

| After driving along the river and seeing numerous chateaux, we went to touristy yet beautiful Chenonceau. Where Philippe proceeded to stand in nearly all of my pictures. |
Here is a semi-side view of the part of the chateau that spans the water. During the German occupation, half of the chateau (on the one side of the river) was in occupied France and the other half was free. |
