| First stop on my 10-day trip to Canada and the US was Montreal. This is a church that I really should remember the name of. St. Something. I can't help it - the tour guide on our Hop On, Hop Off bus tour was awful. Her English (if you could call it that) was confusing at best and she kept talking into the microphone even when she shouldn't have been, like when she was welcoming new people on the bus and telling them where there was room to sit. So we ended up tuning her out, but then ended up missing important things like names of churches. Worth it, though. |
Cute street in Montreal. Other than our bus tour, we just went shopping and hung out at Genevieve's brother's bar. Cool town! |
| Then we went up to Genevieve's family's cottage at Danford Lake. It rained pretty much the whole time but it gave us an excuse to lay around in front of the fireplace watching movies and proving our superior intelligence with our new Mensa book (which, by the way, has at least 4 typos). |
We did manage a ride on the boat one day. |
| This was before it started to pour down on us. |
Canada! |
| Then we went to Ottawa. This is the Parliament building. |
Supreme Court. |
| True to form, I once again did not take any pictures while I was in St. Simons Island. But here's my little shout out to Carrie and FunnySpoon!. So next it was on to Vegas baby! |
We stayed at the Paris. I know that's not very original since I live in Paris, but I just wanted to see what the gaudy American version was like. Me likey. |
| More hotel shots. |
And more. We also hung out by the pool, but I'd rather not share those pictures. You can hardly tell where my white swimsuit ends and my white skin begins. |
| Night time! |
Gambling time! I was only down $10 by the end of the weekend, which isn't bad considering how many free drinks I got out of the deal. |
| Party time - Michelle, Erin, and me. |
One of our stops was Ghostbar at the Palms. It's really high up and they have this glass panel you can stand on and look down. It took me a while to build up the guts but I finally did it, and looked cool doing it. (You should have seen the first few pictures). |
| The next night was dinner at the restaurant at the Eiffel Tower - Lydia, me, Erin, and Michelle. |
The view from the restaurant. |
| The view of the Bellagio light and water show from the restaurant. |
Then we went to see Cirque de Soleil, the Beatles Love show. It was awesome. These were some roller bladers who I probably wasn't actually allowed to take a picture of. |
| The entrance to the show. |
| On our walk home, we of course had to stop through the Bellagio, one of my faves. |
Another inside shot of the Bellagio. Already looking forward to next year's trip! |
