| Mika and I went to Berlin for a short weekend. I was sick so we didn't do much the first night. But we HAD to stop in to Hooter's for a drink. I mean, it was right across from our hotel. What were we supposed to do? |
Then we went out to a nice German dinner where we had good German white wine (yes, it exists) and I had weiner schnitzel for dinner. Mmm. |

 |
| The next day we started out at the Victory Column, which we kept referring to as Bastille because that's what it looks like. Oh we're so Parisian. This is the view from the top. |
And this is the view up the chick's dress. I think you can guess who took that photo. |

| Me at the Victory Tower. |

| Sign letting you know you're "entering the American sector". Now, I must say I don't normally buy cheesy tourist stuff but they had an official-looking dude who would stamp your passport with old Cold War era stamps and I couldn't resist. It was 2 euros for one stamp, 5 euros for 4. I acted cool and said I just needed one and then he asked me which one I wanted - US, UK, France, Russia - and before he could finish the list I freaked out and said I wanted them all. So he gave me his special - all 7 stamps (7!) for 5 euros. A bargain. Seriously, I'm nuts about passport stamps. |
Ah, nothing more authentic than military personnel getting paid for posing with civilians at Checkpoint Charlie, with Subway in the background. |

| Do I look like a big scary German security guard? What if you pretend my shirt doesn't have flowers on it? |
The TV tower. |

 |
| Dunkin! Donuts! Everywhere! We went way overboard with 6 donuts, 2 bagel sandwiches, and an XL iced coffee. |
The Reichstag (I think). |
 |
 |
| The Bundestag (I think). |
Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, which clearly didn't do so well during the 1943 air raids. |

| Me, in one of Mika's artsy photos. |
More from Mr. Fancy Artsy Pants. Cool, huh? |
